
Steven S. Moss, DDS
Dr. Steven S. Moss has been a periodontist for over 30 years. He completed his training at New York University College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. In addition to a General practice Hospital Residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset New York. Dr. Moss completed a specialization Residency in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry.
Not only is his greatest concern for the health, comfort and well-being of the patient, but Dr. Moss keeps up with the latest advances and techniques in all areas of Periodontics as well as dental implants.
Dr. Moss performs all ranges of treatments in his speciality including cosmetic plastic procedures, osseous surgery to reduce infection and save teeth as well as hard and soft tissue grafting, and dental implant placement. Dr. Moss has saved and rescued hundreds of periodontally involved dentitions during his career. He carefully diagnoses the patient as well as their concerns. A thorough clinical and radiographic examination will be reviewed for each patient and treatment plan options will be discussed and understood before any treatment begins.
Dr. Moss is a member of the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists and The New York County Dental Society where he is very active in the Organization Committee that develops and runs the largest Dental Meeting in America, The Greater New York Dental Meeting.
He is an attending Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital General practice Residency program where he actively works with residents both clinically and didactically. In addition to his appointment as an attending at Mount Sinai, he is the Well Being Champion for the Department of Dentistry at the Hospital.
Dr. Moss enjoys spending time with his family and runs and swims for pleasure when he isn’t working.
